I bought a Jacaru Poet felt hat in stone colour several years ago and have worn it consistently on the farm. It has held up well.
I took the chinstrap leather shoelace out of the eyelets and wrapped them around with the hat band so they are out of the way.
Pros; It's crushable, it has a floppy brim so it won't blow off when it's blustery, dries out well, cleans well, is comfortable, I can sit in a vehicle seat without the brim being in the way behind my head, over the last several years it hasn't worn through or shrunk like some other felt hat brands tend to.
Cons: Has a narrow brim so not as effective as a wide brim hat but a good all rounder. Better than a cap for shade because it covers my ears. I bought a Large but it's a bit too small for my boofhead. I probably need an XL for a 60cm equivalent.
A good quality product. Would be great if they were Aussie made. I just bought two more for the kids.
