Jacaru 1678 Around Waterhole - This cotton scarf can be used to adorn your Jacaru hat. The traditional Australian Aboriginal art simply ties around the crown. This print is the beautiful work of Australian Aboriginal artist Nambooka.
Nambooka is a well-known designer in the quilting world. Her designs are clear, colourful and very attractive. In this design, Nambooka depicted the happenings around a waterhole on a summer day.
On a summer day, people wander around the bush to collect bush food and drink water from the waterholes. The semi-circles or ‘U’s are the people and their footsteps can be seen on the tracks. They use digging sticks to dig and gather food from the ground. Because of the hot day, animals like goannas, rainbow snakes, tortoises and frogs can also be seen going to the waterhole for water. Some long gum leaves (eucalyptus leaves) and fruit had fallen to the ground.
i first noticed this band because its colorful, but when I received it I liked how it compliments a black leather hat. I have it permanently attached to one of my black hats and it makes it stand out on another level. Really nice look.

By using a soft measuring tape, measure the circumference of your head just above your ears and refer to the size guide below. If you are in between sizes go up to the larger size. You can always place a sweatband or size reducer (purchase from our accessories here) in the front and or back of the hat. If you have any difficulty determining your size, please send us the measurements and we can recommend a size to fit.
